Child safety standards
Metchr is operated by MMJ Solutions UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Flößergasse 30, 81369 Munich, Germany. This page sets out our standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), how you can report it to us, and what we do when we learn of it. It applies to everything on Metchr: profiles, Metches, photos and videos, and chats.
Zero tolerance
We prohibit child sexual abuse and exploitation in every form. Specifically, the following are forbidden on Metchr and lead to immediate removal and permanent exclusion:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM), and any depiction that sexualises a minor — including drawn, generated or otherwise synthetic material.
- Grooming: contacting or befriending a minor in order to sexually abuse or exploit them.
- Sextortion, and soliciting, offering or trading sexual imagery of minors.
- Child trafficking, or arranging or advertising sexual contact with a minor.
- Sexualised comments about a minor, and any attempt to move such contact to another service.
This is not conditional on where a user lives or on local law being weaker. It applies everywhere Metchr is available.
Metchr is an 18+ service
Metchr is for adults. Nobody under 18 may create an account or use the service; this is set out in Section 2 of our Terms of Service.
Registration is only possible after you enter your date of birth and separately confirm that you are at least 18 years old. Both are required, neither is pre-selected, and the confirmation is recorded in our consent log. Your date of birth is checked on our servers, not only in the app, and it is checked again whenever you change your profile.
We state this plainly: age is self-declared. We do not carry out identity or document checks, and we do not use an age-assurance provider. Where we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18 — through a report or otherwise — we suspend it and delete it.
How to report
You can report anything on Metchr from inside the app, without leaving it. Every report reaches the same moderation queue:
- A person — open their profile and tap the flag icon in the header.
- A Metch — open it and choose “Report” from the ⋯ menu in the header.
- A chat message — press and hold the message, then choose “Report Message”.
Choose the reason “Dangerous / Illegal Activity” and describe what you saw in the free-text field, or choose “Other”, which requires a description. Both reach us the same way. You can also block anyone from their profile: blocking works in both directions and immediately stops direct messages, hides that person's Metches from you and yours from them, and prevents either of you joining the other's Metches.
If the matter is urgent, if you do not have an account, or if you are an authority or an organisation working on child protection, write to us directly at childsafety@metchr.com.
If a child is in immediate danger, contact the police first (112 in the EU). Please tell us as well, so we can secure the material and remove it.
What happens after a report
Metchr does not generally pre-screen content and does not monitor conversations — as stated in Sections 7 and 8 of the Terms of Service. We act on what is reported to us, and we act on it as a priority when it concerns a child.
- Immediate effect. When enough people independently report the same profile, Metch or message, it is hidden automatically before any of us has looked at it; a reported account is suspended at the same time.
- Review. A reported item goes into our moderation queue. Reporting a message makes its content readable to our moderation team — this is the only circumstance in which we read a private conversation, as described in Section 3.4 of our Privacy Policy.
- Action. On a confirmed CSAE violation we remove the content from the service and suspend the account permanently. A suspended account can no longer use any part of Metchr.
- Preservation and referral. We preserve the material and the associated account data for the authorities rather than discarding them, and we notify the competent law-enforcement authority — in Germany the police and the Bundeskriminalamt — in line with Article 18 of the EU Digital Services Act. We cooperate with lawful requests for information.
Anyone excluded for a CSAE violation may not return to Metchr under a new account.

Applicable law
We comply with the child protection laws that apply to us, in particular §§ 184b and 184c of the German Criminal Code (Strafgesetzbuch), the EU Digital Services Act, the GDPR and the German Digital Services Act (DDG). Where we operate in other jurisdictions, we follow the applicable local child safety law in addition to these standards.
These standards are published by MMJ Solutions UG (haftungsbeschränkt) for the Metchr app and are reviewed whenever the app's safety features change.
Kinderschutz-Standards
Metchr wird betrieben von der MMJ Solutions UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Flößergasse 30, 81369 München, Deutschland. Diese Seite beschreibt unsere Standards gegen sexuellen Missbrauch und sexuelle Ausbeutung von Kindern (child sexual abuse and exploitation, CSAE), wie du solche Inhalte melden kannst und was wir tun, wenn wir davon erfahren. Sie gilt für alles auf Metchr: Profile, Metches, Fotos und Videos sowie Chats.
Null Toleranz
Wir verbieten sexuellen Missbrauch und sexuelle Ausbeutung von Kindern in jeder Form. Insbesondere ist Folgendes auf Metchr verboten und führt zur sofortigen Entfernung und zum dauerhaften Ausschluss:
- Darstellungen sexuellen Kindesmissbrauchs (CSAM) sowie jede Darstellung, die Minderjährige sexualisiert — auch gezeichnet, KI-generiert oder anderweitig synthetisch erzeugt.
- Grooming: das Kontaktieren oder Anfreunden von Minderjährigen mit dem Ziel des sexuellen Missbrauchs oder der Ausbeutung.
- Sextortion sowie das Anfragen, Anbieten oder Tauschen sexueller Aufnahmen von Minderjährigen.
- Kinderhandel sowie das Anbahnen oder Bewerben sexueller Kontakte mit Minderjährigen.
- Sexualisierte Äußerungen über Minderjährige und jeder Versuch, solche Kontakte auf einen anderen Dienst zu verlagern.
Das gilt unabhängig davon, wo jemand wohnt, und unabhängig davon, ob das lokale Recht weniger streng ist. Es gilt überall, wo Metchr verfügbar ist.
Metchr ist ein Dienst ab 18
Metchr richtet sich an Erwachsene. Wer unter 18 ist, darf kein Konto anlegen und den Dienst nicht nutzen; das steht in Abschnitt 2 unserer Nutzungsbedingungen.
Die Registrierung ist erst möglich, nachdem du dein Geburtsdatum angegeben und zusätzlich bestätigt hast, dass du mindestens 18 Jahre alt bist. Beides ist verpflichtend, nichts davon ist vorangekreuzt, und die Bestätigung wird in unserem Einwilligungsprotokoll festgehalten. Dein Geburtsdatum wird auf unseren Servern geprüft, nicht nur in der App, und es wird erneut geprüft, wenn du dein Profil änderst.
Wir sagen das ausdrücklich: Die Altersangabe erfolgt in eigener Verantwortung. Wir führen keine Identitäts- oder Ausweisprüfung durch und setzen keinen Dienstleister zur Altersverifikation ein. Erfahren wir — durch eine Meldung oder auf anderem Weg —, dass ein Konto einer Person unter 18 gehört, sperren und löschen wir es.
So meldest du
Du kannst alles auf Metchr direkt in der App melden, ohne sie zu verlassen. Jede Meldung landet in derselben Moderations-Warteschlange:
- Eine Person — öffne ihr Profil und tippe oben auf das Flaggen-Symbol.
- Ein Metch — öffne es und wähle im ⋯-Menü oben „Melden“.
- Eine Chat-Nachricht — halte die Nachricht gedrückt und wähle „Nachricht melden“.
Wähle als Grund „Gefährliche / Illegale Aktivität“ und beschreibe im Freitextfeld, was du gesehen hast, oder wähle „Sonstiges“, wofür eine Beschreibung erforderlich ist. Beides erreicht uns auf demselben Weg. Über ein Profil kannst du eine Person außerdem blockieren: Das wirkt in beide Richtungen, unterbindet sofort Direktnachrichten, blendet die Metches der anderen Person für dich und deine für sie aus und verhindert, dass eine von euch dem Metch der anderen beitritt.
Wenn es dringend ist, wenn du kein Konto hast oder wenn du für eine Behörde oder eine Kinderschutzorganisation schreibst, wende dich direkt an childsafety@metchr.com.
Besteht für ein Kind unmittelbare Gefahr, verständige zuerst die Polizei (112). Sag uns bitte trotzdem Bescheid, damit wir das Material sichern und entfernen können.
Was nach einer Meldung passiert
Metchr prüft Inhalte nicht allgemein vorab und überwacht keine Unterhaltungen — so steht es in den Abschnitten 7 und 8 der Nutzungsbedingungen. Wir handeln auf Meldungen hin, und bei Meldungen, die ein Kind betreffen, vorrangig.
- Sofortige Wirkung. Melden genügend Personen unabhängig voneinander dasselbe Profil, Metch oder dieselbe Nachricht, wird der Inhalt automatisch ausgeblendet, bevor jemand von uns ihn gesehen hat; ein gemeldetes Konto wird zugleich gesperrt.
- Prüfung. Der gemeldete Inhalt kommt in unsere Moderations-Warteschlange. Wird eine Nachricht gemeldet, wird ihr Inhalt für unser Moderationsteam lesbar — das ist der einzige Fall, in dem wir eine private Unterhaltung lesen, wie in Abschnitt 3.4 unserer Datenschutzerklärung beschrieben.
- Maßnahme. Bei einem bestätigten CSAE-Verstoß entfernen wir den Inhalt aus dem Dienst und sperren das Konto dauerhaft. Ein gesperrtes Konto kann keinen Teil von Metchr mehr nutzen.
- Sicherung und Weitergabe. Wir verwerfen das Material nicht, sondern sichern es zusammen mit den zugehörigen Kontodaten für die Behörden und benachrichtigen die zuständige Strafverfolgungsbehörde — in Deutschland die Polizei und das Bundeskriminalamt — entsprechend Artikel 18 des EU Digital Services Act. Rechtmäßigen Auskunftsersuchen kommen wir nach.
Wer wegen eines CSAE-Verstoßes ausgeschlossen wurde, darf nicht mit einem neuen Konto zu Metchr zurückkehren.

Geltendes Recht
Wir halten die für uns geltenden Kinderschutzvorschriften ein, insbesondere §§ 184b und 184c StGB, den EU Digital Services Act, die DSGVO und das Digitale-Dienste-Gesetz (DDG). Soweit wir in anderen Rechtsordnungen tätig sind, befolgen wir zusätzlich zu diesen Standards das dort geltende Kinderschutzrecht.
Diese Standards werden von der MMJ Solutions UG (haftungsbeschränkt) für die App Metchr veröffentlicht und werden überprüft, sobald sich die Sicherheitsfunktionen der App ändern.
